Privacy and Cookie Policy

This policy explains how personal data is processed when you visit fernandaleitepro.com (including the Insights blog at /insights/) or contact me. It is provided under Articles 13 and 14 of the EU General Data Protection Regulation (Regulation (EU) 2016/679, "GDPR") and the Italian privacy rules on cookies.

2. What data I process, why, and on what legal basis
a) Browsing data (hosting server logs)
When you visit the site, the hosting server automatically records technical data such as IP address, date and time of the request, pages requested, browser and operating system. This data is used only to deliver the site, keep it secure and diagnose errors.
Legal basis: legitimate interest in operating a secure
website (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
Retention: for a limited period, according to the
hosting provider's security log settings.
b) When you contact me by email or WhatsApp
If you write to me, I process the data you send (name, email address or phone number, and the content of your message) to reply and, if you ask for it, to prepare a proposal.
Legal basis: steps taken at your request before
entering into a contract, or my legitimate interest in replying to your
message (Art. 6(1)(b) and (f) GDPR).
Retention: up to 24 months after our last contact if no
contract follows. If we sign a contract, contract and invoicing data is
kept for 10 years, as required by Italian tax and civil law.
WhatsApp is provided by WhatsApp Ireland Limited (Meta). When you use it, WhatsApp also processes your data under its own privacy policy.
c) Analytics (only with your consent)
If you accept analytics cookies, the site loads Google Tag Manager and Google Analytics 4 to measure how the site is used: pages viewed, time on site, device type, browser and approximate location (city or region). I use this only in aggregated form to improve the site. I do not use it for advertising and I do not combine it with other data to identify you.
Legal basis: your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). If you
decline, Google Tag Manager and Google Analytics are not loaded at
all.
Retention: Google Analytics data is kept for 14 months,
then deleted automatically.
3. Cookies and similar technologies
Cookies are small files stored in your browser. This site uses:

The Insights blog runs on WordPress and may set strictly technical cookies needed for the blog to work (for example, language or security cookies). These do not require consent.
No advertising or profiling cookies are used. Fonts and scripts are served from this site, not from third-party font services.

4. Who receives your data
- Hostinger International Ltd. (Cyprus, EU): website hosting and content delivery network (CDN). The CDN can deliver the site through servers located outside the EU, under the safeguards set out in Hostinger's data processing terms.
- Google Ireland Limited: Google Tag Manager and Google Analytics, only if you consent. Google may transfer data to Google LLC in the United States. These transfers rely on the EU-US Data Privacy Framework, under which Google LLC is certified, and on the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses.
- Email and WhatsApp providers, only when you contact me through them.
These providers act as data processors or, where applicable, as independent controllers under their own policies. I do not sell your data or share it with anyone for marketing purposes.
Links to GitHub and LinkedIn take you to external websites with their own privacy policies.
5. Your rights
Under Articles 15 to 22 GDPR you have the right to:
- access your data and receive a copy;
- correct inaccurate data;
- ask for your data to be deleted;
- restrict or object to processing based on legitimate interest;
- receive your data in a portable format;
- withdraw consent at any time, without affecting processing carried out before the withdrawal.
To exercise these rights, write to hello@fernandaleitepro.com. I will reply within one month.
You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Italian Data Protection Authority (Garante per la protezione dei dati personali) or with the authority of the EU country where you live.
6. Other information
Providing data through email or WhatsApp is voluntary, but without it I cannot reply. No automated decision-making or profiling takes place. This site is not directed at children under 14.
7. Changes to this policy
I may update this policy when the site or the law changes. The date at the top shows the latest version. If the change affects cookies, the site will ask for your consent again.
